CREWA (Centre for Rural Energy & Water Access) is a NGO, founded towards end 2011, under the inspirational leadership of CREWA's Chairman Mr. Deepak Gupta, retired Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. Key functionaries are


(1) Mr. Kolluru Krishan a graduate from IIT Kharagpur with 42 years' experience in the Energy Sector who has founded various Cleantech, RE Generation and Section 25 Companies. He plays an advocacy role in CII, FICCI and KSBDB


(2) Mr. Prabhat Bhattamishra a graduate from IIT Kharagpur with 43 years experience in the Paper and Pulp Industry with in L&T and other International majors.  For the last few years, he has devoted time to sustainable development of tribal communities in Orissa.


CREWA aims to bring a strategic perspective for enhancing rural energy and water access as well as technologies & equipment/system solutions that are appropriate to Indian conditions as may be noted from CREWA Presentation (use link below).
